Our Services

Designed once. Enjoyed for years.

Rooted Ecological Landscapes specializes in plant-focused garden installations using perennials, shrubs, and small trees selected for long-term success in Simcoe and Dufferin County.

We do not offer lawn care, seasonal planting, or large hardscaping. Our focus is on building clean, structured garden spaces that establish properly and improve over time.

How Projects Are Priced

Projects are quoted based on scope, plant selection, and site conditions.

All work is priced per project rather than hourly, ensuring clarity and consistency from start to finish.

Perennial & Shrub Garden Installation

Custom garden beds designed and installed using long-lived perennials, grasses, and structural shrubs suited to local conditions.

Each installation is planned for proper spacing, growth, and long-term performance — not just immediate appearance.

Ideal for:

  • Front or side yard upgrades

  • Replacing underperforming garden beds

  • Adding structure and seasonal interest

Tree & Structural Planting

Small trees and woody plantings that anchor the landscape and provide long-term form.

Carefully selected and placed to suit the scale of the property and surrounding conditions.

Common selections include:

  • Multi-stem ornamental trees

  • Flowering species

  • Native and region-appropriate varieties

Garden Consultation

An on-site consultation is required prior to all installation projects.

During the consultation, we:

  • Assess site conditions (sun, soil, drainage)

  • Discuss your goals and preferences

  • Provide recommendations and direction

  • Outline a clear scope for your project

Consultations ensure that each installation is properly planned and suited to your property.

Front Yard Garden Conversions

Transform sections of lawn into intentional, low-maintenance planting areas.

These conversions reduce upkeep while improving curb appeal and creating a more functional outdoor space.

Includes:

  • Bed layout and shaping

  • Soil preparation

  • Perennial and shrub planting

  • Mulch finish

Pollinator-Friendly Planting

Plant selections that support bees, butterflies, and birds — integrated into a clean, intentional design.

This is not a wild or unmanaged approach. Pollinator support is built into structured, well-planned garden layouts.

What We Don’t Offer

To maintain quality and focus, we do not provide:

  • Lawn cutting or maintenance

  • Seasonal or annual flower planting

  • Large Hardscaping (most patios, walkways, retaining walls)

  • One-off planting without design
